Early work: Bruised
In an attempt to create a vessel without excessive mass in the base, Bruised came out quite well early on. That, paired with the two tone dipped glaze brings beauty to this piece. The original blue dip did not coat the surface with enough glaze to come out so clearly. Thus, this piece is the first piece that I successfully re-fired to complete.

Early Work: Wide Ocean
Wide Ocean, made in pair with Deep Night, was the first wide belly, slim neck vessel I threw to any level of success. This vessel was also the first successful use of floating blue glaze. Dipped slowly twice, this glaze proved to run quite a bit requiring the base to be sanded, allowing it to sit flat. Knowing it would be paired with Deep Night, I decided that the shorter, heavier form ought be brought up using a lighter, Floating Blue glaze, contrasting with Deep Night’s lighter form with a heavier glaze.

Early work: Deep Night
Deep Night, made in pair with Wide Ocean, was the second wide belly, slim neck vessel I threw to success. While it is still imperfect, I really enjoy the form of this one over its pair. Knowing it would be paired with Wide Ocean, I decided that the taller, loftier form ought to be brought down using a heavier, black glaze, contrasting with Wide Ocean’s heavier form with a lighter glaze.

What happens if my pottery arrives broken?
If, for any reason, your purchase arrives broken, please take pictures of both the product and packaging. Send those images to dangavrinceramics@gmail.com and I’ll gladly refund you. The images are used to improve packaging/shipping for future purchases.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
All directly purchasable pieces will ship within 3-5 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as it goes out.
How do payments and shipping work?
We issue an invoice outlining project milestones and corresponding payment dates. Once your pieces pass final quality checks, we arrange secure, insured shipping or local delivery to your preferred location.

My relationship with pottery began as a pursuit of a feeling: the satisfying rhythm of throwing on the wheel. Dedicated practice, mentorship, and continuous learning has transformed that curiosity into the excitement of creating.
Currently, my work focuses on marbled clay. By blending distinct colors of clay bodies, I create ceramics where no two pieces are ever identical. As I expand this aesthetic and push my technical boundaries, my ultimate hope is that these pieces bring as much joy to your home as they bring me to throw on the wheel.
